Below are some of our Guests Reviews for our Adare B and B at Carrigane House
“B&B = Best & By Far”
Céad Míle Fáilte is what they say the Irish welcome you with and in this house that is absolutely true. Mike and Maura couldn’t have made me feel more welcome. On arrival I was offered freshly baked breads accompanied by a great cup of coffee. My en suite room was spacious, warm and very comfortable. The breakfast was beautifully presented with plenty on offer and a relaxing atmosphere. I’ve visited a number of B&Bs in my travels around Ireland and this was “Best by far”. Only minutes from the beautiful and historic Adare village and my hosts were only happy to inform me about all the local amenities of which there are many. I’m already looking forward to a return visit to Carrigane house.
And to note I don’t normally take the time to write a review but in this case I make the exception.

“I wish I lived there!”
Maura and Mike made us feel very welcome in their beautiful bed and breakfast. Our room was very warm, clean and spacious. With a large bathroom and comfortable beds. On arrival we were welcomed with afternoon tea in the lovely lounge room. Maura even brought in a heater to ensure I was warm. Maura’s attention to detail made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of hot and cold options. The pancakes and fresh fruit were delicious. The b&b also has a car park at the front, so we felt our car was very secure. Maura and Mike are a lovely couple and extremely friendly without being overbearing.
“Irish Hospitality At Its Best”
Carrigane House was absolutely one of our best experiences in Ireland. The rooms, the breakfast, and our hosts could not have been better. The four of us would love to be able to return to this cozy, welcoming place in your beautiful country. Thank you for making our visit special.

“Absolutely the best B&B”
We had the very best experience staying at the Carrigane House B&B. Everything was as you would want it. Friendly, wonderful food. Very clean. Wished we could have stayed longer but on a golf tour. Hosts gave us lots of information about golf course and restaurants Blue Door in particular. Wonderful food.

“It felt like home…”
Very nice house which was closer to the center of town than it appeared on the map. It only took a few minutes and was a wonderful setting. Spacious parking and our upstairs room was clean, quiet, well furnished with a comfortable bed, and great shower. Maura was very nice, a wonderful hostess and gave us directions about what to see in the area. The breakfast was generous, excellent and was served by Mike. Particularly enjoyed the “common room” with the piano. We felt very comfortable at Carrigane House and hated to leave. I highly recommend this B&B if you’re any place in the area.

“Real Irish Hospitality”
When you look in the dictionary under “Irish Hospitality” there is just a photo of Mike and Maura. They are so attentive that when they ask you what you would like, your answer is just a formality because they already know. Carrigane House is a beautiful home. Our room was large and the bed as comfortable as in our own home which is as it should be since you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. My wife and I stayed here on the first night of our first trip to Ireland and will definitely stay here on our future trips. Adare is a fairly short and easy drive from Shannon. After flying through the night this was a perfect distance to get our feet wet with driving on left side of the road (the correct side by the way) and to do a little sight-seeing in Adare, which is a postcard perfect Irish village, without trying to over do it on the first day. Once we checked in and got our room we caught a couple of hours sleep which was perfect to allow us to finish the day in Adare. By the next morning we were right on track with the sleep cycle and ready for anything.

Maura, Mike and their daughter where perfect hosts. Hospitality at the highest level. The rooms are bright and comfortable. Breakfast was superb. Enjoyed our stay so much that we returned a few days later after our trip around the Ring of Kerry. Highly recommended.

“Wonderful B & B”
4 of us stayed at Carrigane on our 2 week vacation through Ireland. Maura and Mike were just super hosts. We had comfy rooms, delicious breakfast and enjoyed our visit with them. They made us feel right at home and were very helpful in giving us ideas on where to go and what to see. When we come back to visit Ireland this is definitely one place we will stay again.

“Excellent B & B!”
Mike and Maura – Great hosts! Very comfortable, clean and friendly! Highly recommend this wonderful B & B! Food was delicious! If you are in the area, this is the place to stay! From Jan and Tammy, Jerry and Teri!
“Clean, friendly and just what I was looking for!”
I stayed at Carrigane for a weekend whilst some friends were getting married at the nearby Woodlands Hotel. It’s ideal for this purpose; a literal 500 yds tipsy stumble from the hotel and a welcome sanctuary from it! Maura & Mike, the owners are very welcoming and happy to help, to the extent of driving me the 10 mins into town when I was leaving for the bus. Highly recommended, i’d definitely go back!
